Just Economy Conference in Washington, D.C.

In March, our Executive Director Sam Centellas and Board Member Dr. Breanna Allen traveled to Washington, D.C. to attend the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC) Just Economy Conference—a gathering of community leaders, financial experts, and advocates from across the country working to build an inclusive economy for all.

They kicked off their trip by joining Prosperity Indiana and fellow advocates from across the state to meet with elected officials and champion policies vital to our mission.

From strengthening the CDFI Fund, expanding affordable housing programs, and ensuring consumer protections, and more, the conversations in D.C. were centered around advancing opportunities for those most often left behind. At the heart of every meeting was a shared belief:

Everyone everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive.

We firmly believe that when the most vulnerable in our communities do better, we all do better. We're proud to be members of NCRC and to stand alongside others committed to building a just and inclusive economy.
