Join Us In Supporting Community Growth
THANK YOU! With your support we met our 2025 fundraising goals! For 2026 we have a goal to raise $30,000 before the end of the year to match a grant from the Community Foundation of Saint Joseph County.
At CDFI Friendly South Bend, our mission is to empower individuals, businesses, and nonprofits through increased access to capital. Since our founding in 2020, we’ve facilitated access to over $40 million in funding, helping drive meaningful economic development across our community.
Each year, we support nearly 100 local businesses—from startups looking to get off the ground to affordable housing developers addressing critical needs, and nonprofits expanding their reach. Through innovative and effective capital access strategies, we’re fostering growth and opportunity in unique ways.
However, we can’t achieve this impact without you. Private donors play a vital role in providing the unrestricted funds that allow us to host community events like ribbon cuttings— activities that are often not covered by grants.
A Special Challenge for Donors
We have been awarded a Special Projects grant from the Community Foundation of Saint Joseph County. This $30,000 is a matching grant and we need to secure matching dollars before we can secure their half of the funding. Give today to help us meet that match!
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, your contribution is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Please consult your tax advisor for guidance. Upon receiving your gift, we’ll provide you with our EIN and a confirmation letter for your records.
Together, we can create lasting change. Let’s make this goal a reality and continue building a stronger, more prosperous community.
Thank you for your support!

Additional info on NAP: the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) is a state-run program in Indiana, administered by the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA). Each year, IHCDA allocates a pool of roughly $2.5 million in tax credits to eligible nonprofit organizations. Those nonprofits can offer these credits to individuals or businesses that donate to approved community-based projects (affordable housing, childcare, job training, neighborhood revitalization, etc.). If you donate to a qualified nonprofit under NAP, you get a state income tax credit equal to 50% of your contribution. Minimum donation is $100; many nonprofits set a cap on credit availability (because credits are limited and often distributed on a first-come, first-served basis).
