Property Bros LLC and CDFI Friendly

Jordan Richardson grew up in a neighborhood where investment was not happening but went on to attend school in a community that supported him and his growth. He knew he could be one of the factors that caused investment to happen in his neighborhood.

Jordan, the principal of Property Bros LLC, decided he could help be the difference he saw was needed. He formed his company with the idea that affordable housing could not only be safe, but built to the same standards as other properties in our city.

Entrepreneurship Indiana is a yearbook featuring 100 entrepreneurial success stories published to honor the state’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and inspire future founders. CDFI Friendly South Bend and Property Bros were proud to be featured in the inaugural issue, pictured above.

Today, the community came together to celebrate his success, his partners, and the creative financing being provided for his future developments by Cinnaire, an affordable housing focused CDFI.

“When I started Property Bros, I began with the memories of affordable housing, their dilapidated nature inside of communities that needed assistance the most. Property Bros is just one solution & contribution to a worldwide problem.” – Jordan Richardson

It took a brave developer to start and a village to rally the mentoring, support, advice, and, ultimately, the trust of many to say our community deserves this investment. We got it! $500,000 is coming to South Bend for Jordan and Property Bros LLC to continue and grow its work.

“Cinnaire has been changing lives and transforming struggling neighborhoods in Indiana for more than 25 years,” said Keith Broadnax, Cinnaire Senior Vice President, Business Development. “We have an unwavering belief that all people deserve the opportunities provided by living in healthy communities. Access to affordable housing is a critical component of creating healthy communities and we are proud to partner with Property Brothers and CDFI Friendly South Bend to bring high-quality, affordable homes to local families. Cinnaire is committed to supporting emerging developers and we look forward to working with Jordan to make meaningful and transformative change in South Bend neighborhoods.”

We are proud to have been one cog in this unique system. Today we were joined by the Mayor of South Bend, nearly have the Common Council, several department heads, other local investors, advocates, pro bono attorneys, architects, small scale developers, and many more… As Mayor James Mueller said, "There are thousands more we need, this is one great step."

Thank you to the media for helping get the word out. We will share links and updated stories here as they become available.
