NCRC and the South Bend - Elkhart Region
On Monday, July 20, CDFI Friendly South Bend welcomed Jesse Van Tol, CEO of the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC), for a series of conversations focused on community investment and access to capital.

Arden and Jesse sharing the work of NCRC with regional NCRC members and other connected non-profit organizations.
The day began with a meeting of regional NCRC members, providing an opportunity to discuss shared priorities, emerging challenges, and ways local organizations can work together more effectively. We then convened banking partners from across the region for a conversation with Jesse about the financial sector’s role in expanding economic opportunity and supporting historically underserved communities.
The meetings were hosted at the Near Northwest Neighborhood (NNN) Community Center, with lunch catered by local business A Bite with Mee.
Bringing community organizations, financial institutions, and national leadership together is central to CDFI Friendly’s work. We appreciate Jesse, NCRC, our regional partners, NNN, and A Bite with Mee for helping make these productive conversations possible.
